Wake up, time to get up,
Make some tea,
Flossing, flossing,
The sun is out, that’s nice.
Brushing my teeth
Should I shave today?
Yes, no avoiding it.
A bite to eat
Go to the gym for a bit
The dew is gone, better mow that lawn
Lunch
Take my son for a walk
Nap time for him now
Fold some laundry with Maggie
He’s up, dinner.
Bed and bath for the little one
Some TV, some computer time
Off to bed
Repeat the next day
Wake up, time to get up,

The clouds are pretty, that’s nice.

Don’t need to shave today

Off to work, same route
Lunch
Driving home, same route
Hit the gym
Take my son for a walk
Empty the dishwasher
Cook some dinner
Bed and bath for the little one
Sneak in a bowl of ice cream
Read and fall asleep
Repeat the next day

Looks like rain today.

Yep, beard is pretty grey

Off to work, same route

Skyping with family
Bed and bath for the little one
Read and fall asleep

You floss when you wake up? Why? Do you eat between cleaning your teeth the night before and sleeping? This doesn’t seem like very good planning.

I’m working on it! Lol I have been a very bad flosser. It is only in the last 4 months that I became a daily flosser.. I’m getting better. Of course I didn’t give the entire daily routine here. But one day I’ll be worthy of your kiss!

Great poem, Swarn. It’s what you didn’t say that I think I felt most acutely. All the stuff hidden just out of sight, the thoughts that change every day while you follow the same track to work. These are what I’m most interested in, but somehow they didn’t feel entirely absent either. Such is the beauty of a well-written piece.
Unless, of course, you really do live in Pleasantville. 🙂

Thanks Professor! This poem was a sudden inspiration and the visual of the poem is as important as the words themselves so I’m extremely happy at the emotional response to the poem. Even Pink’s aghast reaction at my flossing habits. 🙂
